Description

The pharmacist who became America's masked "Fighting Nemesis of Crime."

Black Terror #1 (1943) launched pharmacist Bob Benton — who gained superhuman strength after a lab accident with formic ethers — into his own title after debuting in Exciting Comics. Drawn in the bold, high-contrast style of Nedor's Golden Age line, complete with a skull-and-crossbones chest emblem and twin .45 pistols, Black Terror became one of the best-known non-DC/Marvel heroes of the 1940s. This is the first issue of his solo run.
