Crack Comics ran for 62 issues (1940–1944) from Quality Comics — one of the most acclaimed publishers of the Golden Age. Home to the Black Condor (a man raised by birds who could fly unaided), the Clock, and Alias the Spider, Quality's titles were known for superior artwork and sophisticated storytelling. Quality Comics was so respected that DC Comics purchased their characters in 1956, and Black Condor still appears in DC titles today.
