اللطائف المصورة (Al Lataif Al Musawara — "The Illustrated Wit") was Egypt's premier illustrated weekly magazine, founded in Cairo in 1915 by Iskandar Makarius. Modelled on Britain's Punch and France's Le Rire, it combined sharp political caricature, photographic reportage, social satire, and literary commentary into one of the most influential Arabic-language publications of the early 20th century. Published during Egypt's most turbulent period — the struggle for independence from British rule, the rise of parliamentary politics, and the birth of modern Egyptian identity — each issue is an irreplaceable window into that world.
