Written as a sequence of dispatches during the 1896 Dongola campaign, Letters from the Sudan follows journalist and traveller E. F. Knight from Assuan and Wady Haifa through the Nubian Desert and onward with the Anglo-Egyptian expedition. His twenty-six letters record railway building, river transport, desert marches, military camps, and the advance toward Dongola.
This restored Nile Book Store edition preserves the complete English text together with all twelve original illustrations and six maps and plans. The result is a navigable, reflowable EPUB that keeps the visual record alongside Knight’s first-hand narrative.
