This is the ORIGINAL Daredevil — not Marvel's. Published by Lev Gleason Publications from 1941 to 1956, this Daredevil was an acrobatic hero in a red-and-blue costume who battled the Claw, one of comics most menacing villains. Created by Jack Binder and written by Charles Biro, Lev Gleason's Daredevil ran for 134 issues. When Marvel launched their own Daredevil in 1964, they were knowingly borrowing the name from this Golden Age original.
